Year after year I have been going to Norisring with a will to win. This year was the same and today the day after I have once again had apodium finish but no win.
In the beginning of the weekend I was feeling confortable with the car and the changes for the race I had a good feeling we were going to fight for a win.
Already at the start it was getting a little interesting as Timo made a mistake for the last corner and I could pass him. There was then the first race error and I got told to let Timo passed on start finish as the green flag came out. Grrrrrrrr
No running second until the first pitstop everything looked ok but then it again happen a small error. The pitstop took for once longer then 3,? seconds and that was enough to let Paffet pass me. Now I was sure that was the winning chances of the day.
Hmmmmmm
After my second pitstop when Paffet had some problems I could pass him but at this stage I was too far away from the leaders. I decided to push every lap and hope for the best. I the end I was on the tail of Spengler and had a try into turn 1. Did'n work out but then in the next corner Green passed Timo and on the same time Spengler and myself too.
In the end P3 after some problems and today I am OK with the result but not satiesfied.

This weekend is the race on the streets of Nürnberg. I have been driving here since 2001 and I really like it. So far I have been on the podium but no victory until now. We have been testing out some new set ups for the car and I feel that we are ready to give our competitors a fair race for the victory.
I am really looking forward and will do my best to try and make it a Audi victory on home ground.

Hedy's Race day - Sat Jun 13 22:00:00 UTC+0000 2009
Last Saturday Hedy's Restaurant & Bar had the first event for some race fans. It was a perfect day with a lot of sun and nice guests visiting the party that Red Bull was the main partner. Also there was some nice cars dispayed for the guests to watch.
I the evening Hedy's had a special dinner only for VIP guests and the food simply awesome.
During the day I had a lot of fun and as me and some freinds was playing tennis in the afternoon that made my day simply perfect.

STCC Raceweekend in Gothenburg - Fri Jun 5 22:00:00 UTC+0000 2009
Since the STCC final 2007 this was the first time I visited the Swedish racers. This time is was on the city race in Gothenburg.
To make it more interesting I was having the possibility to drive with my RED BULL DTM taxi to give the fans a feeling of DTM. I had some laps of training and in the end I got a new set of tires and the Swedish icehockey star Henrik Lundqwist in the passenger seat. The laptime I managed was a 44,9 and this is so far the quickest driven around the track.
On this weekend my juniorteam was also having a race and it was nice to see how the team is working in real and to see how the "junior" was doing. In the end he collected the first points of the year and from now on we can focus on the future.

Today I am back home to visit my partents and my juniorteam. Tonight we had a grill evening were I was the boss for the steaks on the grill.
Tomorrow the preparation start for the coming weekend in Gothenburg were I will drive my DTM car and visit some swedish race freinds.

DTM Eurospeedway - Fri May 29 22:00:00 UTC+0000 2009
Today I got to meat the former Audi boardmember Prof. Martin Winterkorn on the grid for a little chat about life. I have some really good memeories from his time when he teached me what racing is about, WINNING! I tried my very best but today I have to say that the competition from Mr Norbert Haug and his crew was simply better.
Now the second DTM race of the season done. In the end I got a 3rd place and 6 good point for the championship. Now I am sitting in the team hospitality just having dinner and thinking about the last 2 days.
Now I will have a bit of a rest and go to bed early.

Finally there is time for the second DTM race of the season. Today we have our rollout and start meeting to get sorted for the qualifying and race. This track was the first time I was on the podium and I am looking to get one more this weekend.

Preparing for the 2nd DTM race - Sun May 24 22:00:00 UTC+0000 2009
Today the preparation starts for the Eurospeedway race. I am going to take a nice bath and treat my body with some special stuff to improve my feeling and finess.
Tomorrow I willo do aPR event in Zolder, Belgium with the Audi TT RS. Going home again and then there is one more timesleping before the second raceweekend is on it way.
My goal is todo the very best I can and hope that it will lead to a good result.

24H hours Nordleife is over - Sun May 24 22:00:00 UTC+0000 2009
The first time with the Audi R8 LMS on the Nordsleife was a really nice experience. The cars is handling very good and I enjoy it every second.
Now to the race!
This could have started better as the car didn't want to run after some corners on the first lap on the Nordleife. I got some help and could get back to the pits. After repairing the car we were position 175.
Now we were pushing hard the whole race and after 24hours we ended position 23.
Know we can get back to normal life and relaxe for some days before the next race.
I already look forward to get a new chance to try and win the 24h race in 2010.

Now qualifying is over and we are on P5 after Timo did the first lap in the qualifying when there is no traffic.
Me and Marco also got to do 2 lap each and we feel we are in good shape for the race.

Now there are some minutes left to the qualifying for the 24h race. Timo will do the first stint and try to make a good laptime as there will be no traffic on the Nordsleife. After Timo Marco will drive and at last I will have a try.
Our goal is to qualify in the top 5 but as always first is the only place that counts for meing really happy. Our strongest competitor is the Porsches from Manthey. They have a lot of experience and a very good driver lineup.

Yesterday me and my teammates did the first practise and qualifying 1. We had a small gearbox problem in practise and in qualifying it was wet and we had a nice run until the last lap on the Nordsleife when a fuelproblem made me had to stop on the track. After some minutes the marshals was pulling me into the pits. Go to bed at 01:00 and hoping today is better.
Now it is time for breakfast and I wish that we have dry, luck and a lot of fun today.

Today was time to get all the paperwork and to show license before the race. Tomorrow the testing will start and the final preparation.
On the way back from the track to the hotel I took a photo from the famous "Nürburgring" in the tunnel were the winners from races are listed. As a proud little Swede I took a photo as you can see...

Now I will have 2 days of time to prepare for the race coming on the Nordsleife. The car is fantatic to drive and I really look forward to the race. My teammates are Timo Scheider and Marco Werner. Be sure we will try and win the race.
The day after a nearly perfect weekend in Hockenheim - Sat May 16 22:00:00 UTC+0000 2009
Today everything is back to normal life again. The first weekend of the year was perfect until 1,5 laps from the end in the race. I am really happy with everything and now I will only hope for a bit more luck for the coming races. I will keep pushing as always and look forward to the coming races. By the way, now I have to continue to wash my race clothes. They need some time in the wachingmachine...
Season start at Hockenheim - Tue May 12 22:00:00 UTC+0000 2009
The past two years I've won the season opener in Hockenheim. I would be a covard not to aim for another win this year. The new car handles well, I'm in good shape and we know the track inside out. Can't really blame a bad result on anything but the performance of my competitors. It will be a tight championship with equally good cars in the top.
